Alex Cara is a comic creator and illustrator based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Her work has been published in Three Words (Beatnik, 2016), an anthology of New Zealand women’s comics, The New Zealand School Journal and Lockdown: Tales from Aotearoa (The Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, 2020).
More recently, Alex exhibited in the 2023 Shortbox Comic Fair and was awarded first place in the Autobio category of the 2024 Minicomic Awards with her short comic Fancies.
